Difficult-to-Treat Psoriatic Arthritis (D2T) in the RECCAPSO Cohort: Prevalence, Characteristics, and Treatment Approaches

Some people living with psoriatic arthritis continue to have active symptoms even after trying different types of treatment. In this study, we looked at how often this happens and what characteristics these patients share. We found that around 1 in 10 patients had “difficult-to-treat” disease. These individuals tended to have more severe symptoms, delays in diagnosis, and higher body weight. Understanding these patterns can help doctors recognize such cases earlier and adapt treatments to improve outcomes and quality of life.
